Installation
The ituneswatcher3-application is just the client-side program for Windows which collects all the necessary data from iTunes greater than verison 4.6.
To display the info on the web you also need...
- ... the iTunesSpy plugin for your Wordpress-Blog
- ... the php/MySQL driven application (developed by Michael Simmons) to run on your webserver.
This server-side components you can download at 'http://depot.growinglogic.com/ituneswatcher/' (version 2.5.1) or here (version 2.5.2).
If you have set up the server-side components, you only have to go to the tab 'settings' in ituneswatcher2 and type in the url of the installation directory of the server-side components and the authentication-code and save the values. Then ituneswatcher2 has all the necessary data to send the collected data from iTunes to the server.
System requirements:
- Windows 98 or higher.
- iTunes 4 or higher.
- MySQL and PHP on your server.
- Visual Basic 6 runtimes.
- if you are installing it in addition with iTunesWatcher php scripts:
iTunesWatcher installation (php-scripts) on your server. (Extended support for version 2.5.2 or higher) - if you are installing it in addition with iTunesSpy:
iTunesSpy installation on your WordPress weblog. (Extended support for version 1.0 or higher)
Best support has version 2.3.0 or higher!
